Who operates this service and how to contact us
Confidence Builder Pro is operated by Chris Malarkey. For any privacy question, data request, or complaint, email support@confidencebuilderpro.com.
Information we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, password credentials handled by our authentication provider); onboarding answers; challenge activity and completions; reflections and journal entries; coaching conversations you choose to have with the AI coach; subscription and billing status returned by our payment processor; and basic technical data such as request logs needed to operate and secure the service. If you submit a pilot application, we collect the organizational contact details on that form.
Why we collect it
To create and secure your account, personalize challenges and coaching, display your progress, provide support, process subscriptions, and understand aggregate product usage so we can improve the service.
AI provider processing
Coaching replies are generated by a third-party AI provider called from our servers. The content of your coaching message and relevant context is sent to that provider to produce a response. API keys are stored server-side only and are never exposed to your browser. AI coaching is educational and is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis or medical advice.
Analytics
We review aggregate, non-identifying product usage (for example sign-up completion, challenge completion and retention) to improve the product. We do not place private journal or reflection content into analytics, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your private content to train models without your explicit, informed consent.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and associated entries are removed from the live database. Operational logs and payment records may persist for a limited period where required for security, accounting or legal obligations.
Export and deletion
You can export your personal data or permanently delete your account and all associated entries at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is irreversible.
Security practices
Data is stored in a managed cloud database protected by row-level security so records are readable only by the account that owns them. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Secrets and provider keys are stored server-side. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
Adult account ownership
Accounts are created and owned by adults 18 or older. The account owner is responsible for all activity in the account.
Parent or guardian responsibility
Any use by a child or teen must be set up and supervised by that young person's parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf, remains responsible for the account, and may review, export and delete its data at any time. During the current founding pilot, youth participation is adult-led: children and teens do not create their own accounts.
Restrictions on information about minors
Do not submit a minor's name, email address, photograph or other personal information through the public pilot application form. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child's information was submitted to us, email support and we will delete it.
Service providers
We rely on service providers to operate the product: a managed cloud database and authentication platform, a hosting platform, an AI model provider, an email delivery provider, and Stripe for payment processing. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function. We never receive or store full card numbers.
Subscription cancellation
Paid subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal inside your account. Access continues until the end of the current trial or paid period.
Your choices
You can update your profile, change your password, export your data, or delete your account from Settings. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.
Legal note
This policy describes our actual product behavior. It is not a claim of certification or compliance with any specific statutory framework such as COPPA or FERPA. Organizations with statutory obligations should complete their own review before deploying the pilot.
